Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (ORE Catapult) is recruiting for a Research Engineer to be based to be based within the Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE) situated within their Research & Disruptive Innovation Directorate.
The Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE) is a multi-million-pound collaboration between ORE Catapult and Welsh universities, funded by the Welsh European Funding Office. Based at Pembroke Dock, the Centre delivers research, development and demonstration activities to support innovation in the Welsh supply chain, accelerating the commercialisation of the wave, tidal and offshore wind sectors by reducing cost of energy.
As a Research Engineer you will support delivery of innovation projects involving, inter alia, design, specification, construction and testing of components, subassemblies, small prototypes and full products for the marine energy sector. The team possesses a flexible approach to the challenges faced by innovators and Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), are solution-oriented and passionate about supporting the ongoing evolution of the offshore renewable energy industry.
