The Mersey Tidal programme is a key priority for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) and its Metro Mayor as it has the potential to provide enough electricity to power every home and business in the city region and the surrounding area.
The project would be a first of its kind, utilising the latest technology advancements and diversifying the UK’s energy mix, raising the proportion of our energy coming from renewable sources.
The programme is currently seeking a Project Director to work closely with the LCRCA Director of Commercial Development and Investment and the Chair of the Mersey Tidal Commission to lead the Mersey Tidal Power project delivery programme.
The role will focus on preparing an economic, technical and environmental business case for the project to be submitted to the Metro Mayor by November 2019.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in delivering major energy and infrastructure projects, taking them from initial stages and leading them through to construction and operation. If successful, this will be a landmark project and this is an opportunity to play a key role in making this project a reality.
