The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has launched a consultation seeking views on the potential of marine energy (including floating offshore wind and wave and tidal power) in Great Britain, and is calling for evidence on the scope of these innovative technologies.
The consultation, which is open until 11.45pm on 30 September, is intended to feed into the forthcoming UK energy white paper.
A reminder that we will be producing an MEW response to this consultation and we invite you to send us comments when we will produce a response to help ensure there is a consistent response from industry to this consultation.
This is a brilliant opportunity for the marine energy sector that we need to capitalise on and we encourage all our members to respond.
