Specialist insurance broker and risk management consultancy, Renewable Risk Advisers Ltd. (RRA) announced today that it is engaging the services of Richard Holmes as a Consultant, while at the same time creating an alliance with project development advisory firm Ocean Energy Advisors Ltd. (OEA).
Richard’s extensive experience includes senior positions with Willis, QBE Re, Sedgwick and more recently JLT Specialty’s Renewable Energy team, where he handled a variety of projects for infrastructure funds and marine energy, including tidal range, clients. Richard has strong links internationally, particularly in Western Europe and Latin America. Richard’s skill sets and contacts strongly complement and enhance those of the existing RRA team and is expected to contribute significantly to its growth into new markets.
At the same time, RRA will further develop its close working relationship with OEA and others to complement the activities of the Ocean Energy Forum and to help to develop products to support project finance (The Insurance-Debt Nexus) for tidal stream power projects, and other emerging technologies in due course. OEA will present on The Insurance-Debt Nexus at the 10th International Tidal Energy Summit in London on November 23rd 2016.
