The Materials and Manufacturing Education Training and Learning (Metal) project delivers high quality materials and manufacturing work-based learning.
The aim is to reduce skills gaps in the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing sector by delivering work based learning with a view to improving the skills of the workforce in the sector.
The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Government and delivered by the Swansea University School of Engineering. Metal offers part funded, accredited, technical courses at NQF Levels 4-8 including introduction to materials engineering, manufacturing technology, computer aided design, corrosion coatings , arc welding etc. There is also the potential to develop bespoke provision for business if required.
