Head of Systems Engineering
Bombora is seeking a senior Systems Engineer with experience of innovative engineering projects to be based out of its recently established Pembroke Dock offices and to lead the engineering of the first mWave device. Responsibilities include:
- Define mWave system requirements in consultation with key team members and ensure that these are met. This requires a multidisciplinary overview of the complete system and understanding of all system interactions. A System Requirements Verification Matrix should be maintained.
- Provide the Projects team with the basis of design and/or specifications for all system components, on time in accordance with the project schedule. These are to be developed to satisfy the system requirements, using the inputs of the project constraints and the data provided by the Loads and Modelling team.
Project Manager
Bombora is seeking a dynamic Project Manager with experience of innovative engineering projects to be based out of its recently established Pembroke Dock offices and lead the delivery of the first mWave device. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the project programme to facilitate forecasting of work and resource requirements.
- Maintaining the Work Package reporting system to monitor key aspects of the project and report these to senior management.
- Manage the timely delivery of quality project deliverables.
Numerical Modelling Engineer
Bombora is seeking a Numerical Modelling Engineer to conduct simulations using an existing numerical model of their mWave wave energy converter. This position requires an experienced MATLAB user and would suit an Ocean Engineering graduate or similar, with an interest in WEC numerical modelling and strong applied mathematics. The role is based out of its recently established Pembroke Dock offices and supports the engineering of the first mWave device. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and conduct simulations using an in-house MATLAB+NEMOH numerical performance model of the mWave, as required by the Head of Loads and Modelling
- Post processing of results, verification, quality control and interpretation.
- Preparation of modelling reports for review.
- Assist with planning, implementation and verification of model developments when necessary.
