Marine Energy Wales

Home » Wales’s leading marine energy conference to return to Swansea this spring

Following the sold-out success of last year, Marine Energy Wales is excited to announce its conference will return to Swansea Arena on the 13th and 14th of March 2024, with tickets now on sale.

Now in its sixth year, the conference, which is the UK’s largest event dedicated to marine renewable energy, brings together industry leaders, experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore the latest developments and opportunities in tidal, wave, and floating offshore wind technologies.

Attending gives you the chance to be at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies and learn about the policy developments that are shaping the marine energy landscape both in Wales and globally.

As ever #MEW2024 will offer an inspiring and carefully curated programme of sessions , as well as a packed exhibition hall; providing you the opportunity to connect and do business with key players within the industry, network and raise your profile, identify funding and investment opportunities, and showcase your latest products and services to hundreds of delegates from across the industry.

Set against the backdrop of the recent disappointment for the floating offshore wind sector in Wales, and the renewed optimism for tidal energy, visitors can expect discussions around commercialisation, technical innovation and advancing supply chain in Wales.

It is an unmissable opportunity to connect and carve out the future of offshore renewable energy in Wales, and we’re expecting tickets to sell out well in advance of the event once again.

Registration for #MEW2024 is open now, including sponsorship and exhibition applications and calls for abstracts.

We’re thrilled to be returning to Swansea for our next annual conference at this pivotal moment for the marine energy industry in Wales.

Marine energy is one of the UK’s fastest growing, most dynamic industries – during the 22/23 financial year, the sector delivered £103.4 million to the Welsh economy, and total cumulative spending and investment from the industry in Wales has now reached an impressive £263 million.

The future of marine energy and the path to Net Zero is taking shape today, and our focus for #MEW2024 is around realising Wales’s marine energy potential now and providing the right support for the industry to progress. This conference creates the space to do that
