Morek consolidates progress with launch of revamped website, www.morek.co.uk, aimed at showcasing the first two years of business of the Cornwall-based naval architects and marine engineers. The company highlight their capability to provide technical services to the blue economy, with a strong focus on the Floating Offshore Wind sector.

Bob Colclough – Managing Director:
“The first two years of our business have been a constant evolution, we have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of customers and have developed some strong relationships. We now have a large enough body of work to enable us to present examples of our output from a range of satisfied customers. A big thanks to our clients for allowing us to present some of this work on the new site.

Earlier in the year we decided to attempt to capture this progress by embarking on a comprehensive redevelopment of our site. We were joined on this journey by the excellent Nigel Payne, a specialist digital designer with flair for illustration and bold dynamic web design. Nigel has excellently crafted our content to provide a strong coherent message.

We hope the new site captures the essence of what we as a team can achieve on behalf of our customers. If you haven’t found us yet and are keen to explore how we can support your company, please get in touch.”

Jovie Stone – Lead Project engineer
“A good example of our progress is in mooring design, this has grown into a strong offering. Having worked on projects for Natural England, Tevi and ARC Marine, to design advanced mooring systems to aid in marine eco system regeneration; mobile moorings for marine operations on large scale construction sites for Simec Atlantis, Hughes Subsea and TSM; and next generation permanent moorings for 15MW floating offshore wind platforms for the OREC FLOW Centre of Excellence. This varied experience has given us the opportunity to produce robust engineering processes that can be applied to a wide range of offshore projects. Our new website showcases this, amongst our achievements in other areas and we are excited to see what comes next.”

This launch signifies the progress the firm has made since starting in 2019. During these formative years they have worked on projects all over the world, from supporting tide turbine installation in Nova Scotia, Canada, to consulting on future floating offshore wind moorings and offshore operations for the UK Offshore Renewable Energy Catapults Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence.

The new site aims to present a clear message to existing and future clients of the capability, knowledge and know-how the firm applies to its project work.
