Tickets are on sale now for Wales’ only conference dedicated to marine renewable energy.
The 2019 conference will be the 10th Annual Event hosted by the Marine Energy Wales team (formerly Marine Energy Pembrokeshire) and will be a showcase of Welsh industry, highlighting current projects and future plans.
Last year’s event attracted 200+ industry leaders representing 120 different organisations from across Europe, including supply chain, technology developers, academia and government. This year is the first time the event has been brought to Newport and the Marine Energy Wales team are delighted to be hosting the conference in one of Wales’ most iconic venues; the Celtic Manor Resort.
The conference will feature world class speakers from across the industry including Minesto, Orbital Marine Power, Marine Power Systems, Bombora Wavepower, Nova Innovation, RenewableUK and Ocean Energy Europe. Space is still available within the industry exhibition hall, so it is recommended that anyone interested in having an exhibition stand to get in contact with the Marine Energy Wales team.
With €100.4 million of EU structural funding prioritised for marine energy, two array scale Demonstration Zones and numerous projects being developed around the country, Wales is well positioned to play a global leading role in marine energy.
