The University College Cork (UCC) are seeking an enthusiastic Research Support Officer with experience of the INTERREG programme to work on the Selkie Project which is funded under INTERREG Wales-Ireland programme.

Selkie is a 3.5-year project that will commence in June 2019 and has 6 partners with UCC coordinating the project and leading in a number of work packages. The aims of the Selkie project are to:

  2. Conduct industry-academic collaborative R&D projects;

  4. Assist Irish and Welsh SMEs to progress along the path to commercialisation.

As UCC are the lead partner in the Selkie Project, applicants should have demonstrable experience of project administration and management in a European context and should also be willing to assist in other parallel projects as required. Given the level of responsibility it is expected that the successful candidate will have gained considerable (5 -10 years) experience of working in project management, preferably in research projects in a higher education or local authority setting.
