Engineering Construction Industry Training Board

The ECITB is the skills, standards and qualifications body responsible for development of the engineering construction workforce across a range of industrial sectors including nuclear, oil & gas, power generation, renewables, pharmaceutical and food and water processing sectors. We work with employers and governments to attract, develop and qualify personnel in a range of craft, technical and professional skills & disciplines.

Floating Power Plant

Floating Power Plant is a clean-tech company that designs, develops and supplies a unique patented platform for floating wind and wave energy. They have developed the world’s only such hybrid device to have delivered power to the grid. FPP has offices in UK, Norway and Denmark, with strategic and working partners globally.

Kepler Energy

Kepler Energy is a UK company that has developed a novel, patented design for a next-generation tidal turbine, specifically designed to be deployed in ‘tidal fences’. The technology has been successfully tested to prototype stage. Kepler has also created significant intellectual property in the optimal design, deployment and integration of the turbines into tidal fences.

Marine Power Systems

Established in 2008, Marine Power Systems (MPS) is Wales’ leading homegrown wave energy technology developer. They have developed the patented and multi award winning WaveSub wave energy converter (WEC) device to provide sustainable, low cost renewable energy from the sea.

Marine Renewables Canada

Marine Renewables Canada aligns industry, academia and government to ensure Canada is a leader in providing ocean energy solutions to a world market. Their Vision is for a Canadian sustainable marine renewable energy sector, serving domestic and export power needs and providing projects, technologies and expertise in a global market.


Minesto is a leading ocean energy developer. Its patented and awarded product Deep Green is the only known, verified technology to cost-effectively produce energy from slow tidal and ocean currents. By adding a step of energy conversion compared to other technologies, Deep Green unlocks an untapped resource of renewable energy.

MSeis Ltd

Supplier of passive acoustic and offshore noise monitoring equipment for environmental purposes. MSeis have three coastal boats for charter, survey and environmental impact monitoring. 

Natural Resources Wales

Natural Resources Wales is a Welsh Government sponsored body, which became operational from 1 April 2013, when it took over the management of the natural resources of Wales. It was formed from a merger of the Countryside Council for Wales, Environment Agency Wales, and the Forestry Commission Wales, and also assumes some other roles formerly taken by Welsh Government.

North Wales Tidal Energy

North Wales Tidal Energy & Coastal Protection Co Ltd is developing an integrated tidal impoundment and coastal protection scheme on the North Wales coast. The company’s proposals will deliver predictable renewable energy, help protect coastal communities from rising sea levels and make a significant contribution to the regional economy.


OpenHydro, a DCNS Energies company, specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of tidal turbines. OpenHydro’s vision is to deploy turbines under the surface of the oceans to produce energy silently, invisibly and with no impact on the environment to deliver a global portfolio of almost 1GW of projects.

Pembrokeshire College

Pembrokeshire College is the county’s largest provider of a wide range of post-16 education and training. Situated in a modern, purpose-built campus in Haverfordwest, we offer young people and adults excellent training opportunities.

Renewable Risk Advisers is a specialist risk management consultancy and insurance broker with experience in risk mitigation across the renewables sector. They focus on developing companies and projects in the wave and tidal sector and have been active in Wales since 2009.

RenewableUK Cymru

RenewableUK Cymru are the award-winning trade body for sustainable infrastructure and energy in Wales.


SEACAMS2 is a £17M, three year project at Bangor and Swansea Universities, part- funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.  SEACAMS2 is designed to support the marine renewable energy sector in Wales through collaborative R&D, providing companies with access to a wealth of scientific expertise, a range of survey vessels and the latest in surveying technologies

Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay

Tidal Lagoon Power has secured permission to build the world’s first energy generating tidal lagoon. Developing infrastructure to harness the natural power of the tides, the ground breaking pathfinder, Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay is an iconic project that provides a scalable blueprint for a new, global industry.


TidalStream is a UK developer of TRITON platform systems that can support multiple tidal turbines enabling high MW ratings from a single installation. Now part of SCHOTTEL HYDRO, the first installations will incorporate SCHOTTEL In-Stream turbines in Canada.


Tocardo is a Dutch based company and global leader in tidal energy solutions. We are driven to develop state-of-the-art business solutions that maximise the potential of the tidal energy production worldwide. This ‘flow of energy’ delivers a solid, reliable volume of green energy. Tocardo has installed 10 turbines in 2016.

Wave Dragon

Wave Dragon was the worlds first grid connected wave energy technology. They have over 20,000 hours of prototype operational experience and are now developing commercial units of 4MW each, totaling arrays of 30MW.


Wavepower is developing commercially viable technology that uses ocean waves as a source of energy to generate electricity. 


Wave-tricity is the owner and designer of the Ocean Wave Rower, a wave energy converter utilising well understood, reliable, robust and tune-able components allowing us to capture and convert the natural motion of the ocean into useable dependable power.
